sara weissler about portfolio contact links art showrooms & events retail environments bio client list Sara Weissler was raised in New Jersey and graduated with a BA in Fine Art from Arizona State University. Post graduation she worked in Phoenix and Tempe, AZ. where she co-created the community art space Gallery 1020 and was a participating artist in group shows. While working with Urban Outfitters as a visual merchandiser she moved to New York City. After two years with Urban Outfitters, Sara decided to use her experience with art and retail display on a wider product range and became self-employed. For the past eight years Sara has collaborated with many retail and fashion companies to strengthen their brand identities, create more dynamic visual statements and enhance their styling. She has contributed to a variety of projects for clients such as Levi Strauss & Co., Kipling, Brics, Desan Productions Inc., Anne Fontaine, Town Shop, Lilly Pulitzer, Lacoste, J.Crew, National Geographic and many more. Sara has both implemented and managed makeovers of showrooms, retail spaces, and trade show booths. Many of these projects have included designing fixtures and display elements, merchandising, and creating looks for mannequins and models. Recently Sara was commissioned by J.Crew to develop seasonally-related illustrations for their showrooms and stores. Reproductions of these drawings have been featured in J.Crew shops nationwide. Sara has also been involved with a variety of non-profit and community organizations. For the past two years she has raised funds and co-designed the sets and props for Circus Amok, a circus-theater company whose mission is to provide free public performance art addressing contemporary issues of social justice to the people of New York City. Sara currently lives in Brooklyn where she makes art and tries to grow things in her garden.
